The Role
Proofpoint is seeking an experienced Operations Analyst to join our growing Product team. In this role, you will be an analyst for Proofpoint Essentials responsible for managing software platform operations.
You will work cross functionally with the Channel sales and Finance organizations as well as with external partners. You will own channel business transitions, monitor licenses, and onboard partners to drive a multimillion dollar software business.
You will also assist with analysis activities on the enterprise side of the business including product metrics.
Your day-to-day
Manage business-critical analyses to proactively grow the channel business
Churn and competitive insights
Customer base analyses including segmentation, discounting
Platform operations
Approving, tracking, executing change of channel moves according to process (ensuring all parties are aligned, securing the right approvals/documentation to ensure no contracts violated)
Partner account creation for our non “full service” distributors within the Proofpoint portal
Support account management (account creation, deletions, moves, additions

Experience in an analytical position that includes process and project management
Very high attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Strong communication skills; ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
Ability to model in Excel to answer high-level business questions

You will be joining at an exciting time, as the team prepares to scale the Tessian product following the Proofpoint acquisition. Tessian protects every business’s mission by securing the human layer.
We’re building intelligent security that works for human beings as they are, not how security policies would like them to be. The Tessian Cloud Email Security platform helps enterprises defend against email attacks, protect against data loss, and respond to security incidents more efficiently.
Using machine learning technology, Tessian automatically predicts and eliminates advanced threats on email caused by human error, such as data exfiltration, accidental data loss, business email compromise, and phishing attacks .

Your day-to-day
We‘re looking for a Backend Python Engineer to join one of the key teams behind Tessian Adaptive Email Security, protecting our customers from the full spectrum of inbound email attacks. You will
Collaborate with a supportive agile team to write high-quality software with clean, readable code which helps customers understand and defend against email threats
Participate in decision-making around architectural design while reasoning about cost, scale, latency, velocity and security
Share responsibility for our modern stack of services in production across the whole cycle from design to development, through to operational support, for millions of users
Understand the impact of bugs on stakeholders in high-performance distributed microservice systems and troubleshoot them effectively
What You Bring To The Team
Demonstrable Python ability – you’ve had your code running, delivering value and being supported in at least one real commercial environment
Enthusiasm, positivity and a passion for learning, coupled with growth mindset
Some experience of modern REST APIs, data streaming and database technologies
Awareness of CICD, testing, and cloud services (eg AWS/GCP/Azure) including streaming or event-driven architectures
Understanding of what it means to work in an agile way, collaborate with peers in all disciplines and embrace feedback

The Role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Algo & MLOps team. In this pivotal role, you will drive the implementation of cloud infrastructure and services enabling the research, training and productionisation of advanced ML models powering our email threat detection and data loss prevention products.
You will collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Backend and Data Engineers to lead major initiatives end-to-end ensuring that our ML infrastructure and services support model predictions adhering to our requirements of latency, reliability and scale. You will also help promote software development best practices and encourage innovative approaches to problem-solving within the team.
Your day-to-day
Develop, deploy and maintain low-latency, scalable and reliable applications and infrastructure using Python and Terraform on AWS cloud
Collaborate closely with data scientists, MLOps and backend engineers to build and manage infrastructure and services for training and deployment of a diverse set of ML and NLP models
Build and maintain batch and real-time feature computation pipelines capable of processing complex structured and unstructured data using technologies such as Spark, Apache Airflow, AWS SageMaker etc.
Contribute to the implementation of foundational ML infrastructure such as feature storage and engineering, asynchronous (batch) inference and evaluation
Apply your keen product mindset and tech savvy to help shape the future of our ML Platform, contributing to our progressive vision
Cultivate a supportive environment by providing thoughtful, actionable feedback, fostering growth and development among team members.
What you bring to the team
Several years of industry experience working on distributed systems and building high-scale applications in a managed cloud environment (AWS/Azure/GCP) - Strong Python knowledge; experience developing and deploying production-grade software using asyncio
Hands-on experience with at least one Infrastructure-As-Code framework
Strong understanding of engineering and infrastructure best practices and general software development principles
Excellent communication abilities, ability to engage both technical and business audiences alike, and experience leading cross-functional projects
Good to have
Hands-on experience designing and building software and infra components powering at-scale ML predictions, such as feature engineering/storage solutions, model training/monitoring and ML inference services
Proficiency in creating and optimizing high-throughput ETL/ELT pipelines using a Big Data processing engine such as DataBricks Workflows, Spark, Flink, Dask, dbt or similar
Experience building software and/or data pipelines in the AWS cloud (SageMaker Endpoints, ECS/EKS, EMR, Glue)

The Role
We are seeking a proactive, creative, and tenacious Named Account Manager to drive new cyber security business across Public Sector organisations in the UK (NHS & Local Government). This role will demand interaction with large scale enterprises at the ‘C’ level, as well as with technical staff within the security and IT organisation.
You will manage a portfolio of Public Sector accounts, encompassing a mix of white-space and existing customers. Selling the full Proofpoint Platform, while leveraging all internal resources and our ecosystem of partners to enable continued growth of your account portfolio. In this role you will be able to expand the Proofpoint footprint, ensuring your customers are effectively protected from advanced threats and targeted attacks by our award-winning technology.
Your day-to-day
Establish strong business relationships at the executive level within Public Sector accounts above 2,500 users (cross-vertical focus)
Focus on both penetrating new accounts as well as expanding our presence with existing customers by introducing them to all our security, compliance and information protection platform.
Articulate and promote the company’s value proposition and services to become a trusted advisor within your customer base
Work with internal resources, including aligned System Engineers to prepare account strategies and plans.
Collaborate with Systems Engineers to organise and deliver compelling and flawless product demonstrations
Partner with the channel ecosystem to gain access into new accounts
Deliver operational excellence, to include forecast accuracy and pipeline generation progression
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint’s competitive positioning in the marketplace
What You Bring To The Team
Experienced technology sales professional, with a particular focus on SaaS value-based technologies. Experience within Cyber Security is an advantage.
Proven track record of over-achieving targets, net new logo achievements and capacity to leverage channel partnerships
Relentless attention to detail and never-give-up attitude with a high level of activity, i.e., customer and partner meetings emphasizing executive value selling (CISO, CIO, CMO, etc.)
Ability to establish business relationships at the executive level, and ability to become a trusted client advisor
Experience of closing complex opportunities in the range of $100k – $1m
Proficient user of formal sales playbook methodologies e.g. MEDDIC, Challenger, TAS, Command of the Message.
Growth mindset, willingness to be coached, and diligence to follow a proven sales process
Entrepreneurial self-starter with a consistent focus on account planning, pipeline generation and opportunity progression. You’re strategic in approach, but always act with urgency.
Preferably you’ll have experience of using Salesforce
