Our platform covers the entire end to end customer journey of traded products for the Ring Fenced and Non-Ring-fenced Bank. The team has development responsibility for approximately 5 applications covering high rated critical business processes crucial to the successful trade settlement flow for the Markets business. This is a key function of the lab.
You’ll enjoy working with an energetic group of motivated people covering many applications and technologies. The role on offer is demanding but highly exciting, understanding LBG methods and controls will be very useful, and no two days will be the same, with new challenges in abundance.
This will require an understanding and adherence to governance controls, planning of activities, communication and engagement across the business teams and lab constructs, and you'll be responsible for ensuring the correct processes are followed to ensure delivered products meet the quality and standards that our customers expect.
What You’ll Do
Interact daily with developers, architects, infrastructure engineers, and testers to achieve objectives for 'Change the Bank' projects and 'Run the Bank' activities.
Working with immediate management and team members to help develop skills and facilitate cross-training efforts.
Take initiative in identifying areas that need additional abilities or coverage to meet backlog portfolios. This helps develop the team and improve the quality of services.
The role aims to increase consistency, capability and capacity within the team across a range of engineering products and initiatives.
You’ll support the execution of technical delivery for the payment’s applications within the lab across the full build/test/deploy lifecycle.

Windows(preferably 2019/2022) and Unix Server
COBOL and Core Java
Scripting (Windows MS-DOS and/or PowerShell) Ksh: Admin scripts
CREST FT interfaces and CREST File structure
Urban Code deployment
Websphere ND
Administration functions; Audit compliance / Penetration testing / User recertification / Risk management
A proven understanding of the Investment Banking industry from an IT perspective
Familiarity with TRACE vendor products, especially CrestBridge
