About the Role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the automation, deployment, scaling, and management of applications and infrastructure. You will work closely with development, QA, and IT teams to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems. Key focus areas include Continuous Integration/Deployment, cloud platforms like AWS, Unix-based operating systems, and development in Java and/or Python.

Roles and Responsibilities

Continuous Integration: utilising tooling and principles of continually building, testing, and integrating the software that developers produce.
Continuous Deployment: automating the deployment of the artefacts produced by the CI process to ensure smooth delivery to production environments.
Utilising AWS services and their practical applications for deploying and managing cloud infrastructure.
Operating Systems: Practical experience in Unix environments, focusing on system stability, security, and efficient resource management.
Working with Splunk for monitoring and analysing system logs.
Working with Ansible for configuration management and automated provisioning.
Using Apache NiFi for building data workflows and pipelines.
Development in Java and/or Python, applying best practices for coding and debugging.

Skills required

Solids Devops Engineering experience
Knowledge of AWS essential
Experienced within CI/CD
Practical experience with Unix
Basic knowledge of Splunk would be a bonus
Practical experience with Ansible
NiFi knowledge would be a bonus
Experience with Java or Python
