Our client are a dynamic and forward-thinking team, dedicated to maintaining and evolving their digital services and infrastructure. They currently operate a blend of on-premises and cloud-based systems and are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join them in their Worthing office to help enhance and support their existing setup, with a strong focus on improving their website and associated processes.
As their new DevOps Engineer, you’ll work closely with their London-based DevOps team to support, optimize, and enhance their existing infrastructure. While some of their systems are Azure DevOps-based, much of your initial work will involve supporting and improving on-premises infrastructure hosted in Rackspace and on local servers. In addition to maintaining their current setup, you’ll have opportunities to collaborate with their London team on cloud-native projects and gain exposure to the latest cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Support, monitor, and maintain their on-premises infrastructure and systems.
Work with their Azure DevOps builds, with a mix of on-prem and cloud environments.
Optimize and streamline website support processes and infrastructure.
Collaborate with their London-based DevOps team on cloud-native initiatives.
Enhance and automate deployment pipelines, ensuring smooth operation across environments.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a DevOps role, ideally with a focus on on-premises infrastructure.
Experience with build and deployment pipelines, ideally in Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with on-prem hosting and server management, preferably with Rackspace.
Knowledge of cloud environments, with experience in Azure being a plus.
Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes is advantageous but not required.
