We are currently looking for an Antibody Discovery Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Antibody Discovery Scientist, you will be responsible for utilising proprietary antibody discovery and engineering technologies to support improved delivery solutions for gene therapy vectors.
This is an initial 12 month contract and can be offered at Research Scientist, or Senior Scientist depending on experience.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Your duties as the Antibody Discovery Scientist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
As the Antibody Discovery Scientist, you will use world-leading discovery technologies to discover high-quality antibodies. You will be experienced with B cells or hybridoma. Phage or yeast display experience would be advantageous.
As the Antibody Discovery Scientist, you will conduct in vitro assays and in vivo models to validate novel gene therapy vectors.
As the Antibody Discovery Scientist, you will present experimental data at cross-functional meetings and working collaboratively across departments to align on strategies and deliver within expected timelines.
As the Antibody Discovery Scientist, you will review cutting-edge technologies in the field to bring the next advances in gene therapy engineering and antibody discovery.
Role Requirements
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Antibody Discovery Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
Relevant degree in immunology, gene therapy, or antibody discovery/characterisation.
Proven industry experience in cell culture and molecular biology techniques, including PCR and cloning. Experience with B cells or hybridoma. Phage or yeast display experience would be advantageous.
A working knowledge and practical experience with in vitro and/or in vivo antibody sequencing such as NGS or bioinformatics approaches.
