Senior HPC Systems Engineer – (On-site, Paris)

Our client is looking for an experienced HPC Systems Engineer to join a high-impact project in France. This is an opportunity to work in a highly technical and secure environment, managing cutting-edge High-Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure.

The Role
As a Senior HPC Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for administering and optimising an HPC environment, ensuring performance, security, and reliability. You will work on-site in Paris, collaborating with your team at HPE and with key public-sector clients.

Key Responsibilities
Administer and troubleshoot HPC systems, ensuring peak performance
Manage Linux environments, parallel file systems (Lustre, GPFS), and networking (Ethernet, Infiniband)
Plan and implement updates, security patches, and version management
Work closely with HPE technical teams and external vendors to resolve issues
Monitor system performance and implement improvements
Maintain detailed technical documentation

Who We Are Looking For
Minimum five years of HPC experience in HPC Administration
Strong knowledge of Linux, parallel computing (Slurm, Xcat), scripting (Shell, Python)
Expertise in monitoring tools (Grafana), automation (Ansible, Git, Puppet)
Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and REST APIs
Must be eligible for security clearance in France
