About the Company
Our client is a global leader in high-performance computing (HPC), delivering cutting-edge technology solutions to support complex computational needs. They are seeking a skilled Senior HPC Systems Engineer to manage and optimize their HPC infrastructure within a classified customer environment. This role is 100% onsite and requires security clearance.
The Role
As a Senior HPC Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the administration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of HPC infrastructure. You will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and technical experts to ensure smooth operations, system reliability, and security compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve technical issues, working closely with support teams and vendors
Coordinate and oversee hardware maintenance and troubleshooting activities
Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues
Manage software lifecycles, including updates, patches, and security enhancements
Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and optimizations
Maintain detailed technical documentation and operational procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient HPC operations
Required Skills & Experience
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience in HPC environments
Expertise in Linux system administration across multiple distributions
Experience managing HPC computing infrastructures (Slurm, Xcat, etc.)
Administration of parallel file systems (Lustre, GPFS, etc.)
Knowledge of networking technologies (Ethernet, Infiniband)
Proficiency in Shell and Python scripting for automation
Implementation of monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus)
Experience with DevOps and automation tools (Ansible, Git, Puppet)
Understanding of REST APIs and database management (SQL, NoSQL)
Special Requirements
Security Clearance (Secret - PSDN) will be required
Full-time onsite presence – No remote working option

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring security, compliance, and resilience for smart cities, sustainable energy platforms, and intelligent transportation systems. This position requires deep expertise in Azure security solutions, risk assessment, and cloud architecture.
Responsibilities
Deploy and manage secure Azure-based architectures for InfraTech® projects.
Implement and oversee Azure Defender, Security Center, and advanced threat protection solutions.
Configure Azure AD, MFA, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management.
Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and GDPR compliance audits.
Secure Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, and VPN Gateways.
Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Bicep.
