We are looking for an experienced Data and Architecture Lead to join the Digital Technology & Change team in our Solihull office on a hybrid basis. As a valuable team member, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing the nPower Business Solutions (nBS) strategy to enhance the digital customer and colleague experience. Join us in our transition towards a Product led DevOps model and contribute to shaping our operational approach and capabilities as we expand our business. nBS is the E.ON Industrial and Commercial (I&C) area of EON and a market leader in the energy retail sector. I&C is a £7 billion revenue business serving c30,000 customers and approximately 250,000 meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK.
Data & Architecture Lead
Here's what you'll be doing
Support the Head of Data in delivering the data strategy and optimising data management capabilities.
Build, deploy, and support effective data delivery solutions, interfaces, and reporting platforms with a focus on cloud technologies.
Lead the implementation of a Modern Data Platform and migrate legacy systems to cloud-based infrastructure.
Deliver consolidated business data, data optimisation, analytics, and senior-level reporting to enable the organisation to leverage data effectively.
Advocate for data as the organisation's #1 asset and ensure adherence to high standards.
What we need from you
Experience in developing data solutions to meet business requirements.
Proficiency in data handling, analysis, and manipulation of complex datasets.
Knowledge of data warehouse methodologies, such as the Kimball Methodology.
Expertise in Microsoft Fabri or Synapse, MS Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, SQL Server Management Studio, GitHub, DevOps, and other relevant tools.
Strong communication skills to interact cross-functionally at all levels.
Technical background in data engineering or software engineering with experience in developing scalable platforms.
