We specialise in all aspects of the Water sector, whilst delivering water services into multiple other sectors such as Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development and Education. We currently have opportunities in our Epsom office.

Your Purpose

Project / programme management of delivery across UK and international project lifecycles: feasibility studies, front-end to detailed design (incl. Design and Build), and construction support.
Supporting the project technical team in the successful delivery of the project to meet the agreed targets, e.g. programme, budget and quality.
Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
Preparing all necessary project reports and plans, both internally or externally, as required.

What You Can Bring

Degree qualified, member of a professional institution (MAPM, CMI etc.)
Practical experience of project management in water/wastewater infrastructure or non-infrastructure projects.
Experience in Project Management of design delivery, including multidisciplinary and Design and Build design.
Experience with Scope Definition papers, Project Execution Plans, Risk Registers, Change Control Logs and Client and Stakeholder Management plans.
Experience of Design and Build projects and bid delivery in the water and/or wastewater engineering sector. International experience is beneficial but not essential.

Requirements

Job Description

We are looking for a configuration manager.

Key responsibilities of the PI team are the custodianship of the different replication and configuration processes across the project for the Client and the Nuclear Service Agreement. The goal of replication is to maximise the reuse of Design with a strong justification that it meets Client site specific conditions, whilst controlling the replication baseline (Original design) that may evolve because of new and original design running in parallel.

The goal of configuration management is to ensure a proper control of the Client baseline, from requirement to the physical product passing by design, inherited and replicated from the original design, and modified to comply with new Client site specific conditions or changes within the supply chain.

Activities to be carried out as part of the service:

The service's responsibility is to produce and/or update Configuration and Replication procedures applicable to the Client, at a project wide level

Configuration procedures can relate for example to Open Points and Design Changes. Other activities related to the configuration and replication procedures could become part of the service depending on workload balance, e.g.:
Creation/update of training material and delivery of training sessions
Establishment, production, and assessment of KPIs/metrics
Production of status accounting reports
Production of self-assessments (to review whether process is being followed and if it's efficient) Interfaces To perform these activities, the key interfaces will be with:
Plant Integration Configuration and Replication managers
Engineering Integration Configuration and Replication manager

As a Satellite Software Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role on a cross-disciplinary team that specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of novel, state-of-the-art optical and science instruments for military, government, and commercial space applications, including Earth observation, atmospheric monitoring, space situational awareness, maritime traffic monitoring, and optical communications. Key Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support on development programs as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team.
Develop embedded software and software applications for Space products.
Create software level requirements, architecture, detailed design, and test plan documentation, to meet program and customer needs.
Lead software and high-level system architectural studies and operational concepts to define and select appropriate designs.
Lead design verification and validation activities for software.
Perform simulation and analyses and develop system-level models to ensure end-to-end performance requirements of the software designs are met.
Debug and troubleshoot software to resolve issues.
Lead technical feasibility, readiness, and risk analysis assessments, and provide estimates of cost and schedule.
Provide technical support to customers, including briefings and conference presentations.
Develop documentation according to space agency standards (i.e. Canadian Space Agency, NASA, and ESA).
Prepare proposals for new business pursuits and draft white papers.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and progress.
Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the reliability and safety of software.

You Must Have

Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in a software and/or systems engineering technical lead role involving complex software and/or systems engineering projects.
Comprehensive knowledge of software development methodologies and tools involving both embedded software and application-level software.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Python.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to effectively communicate technical information across different levels of the organization and externally.
Self-motivation and the ability to work with little supervision, consistently taking the initiative to get things done.
