Job Description

You are a specialist in electric drivetrain development
You are the technical face towards the customer, elicitating the needs and presenting the solution.
You are responsible for different elements of the V-cycle, going from requirements specification to realization. To accomplish this, you are the product owner of the attributes/systems engineering team within the project.
You will work closely together with motor, inverter and mechanical specialists, trading off different concepts to realize an optimum solution
You will build or supervise the implementation of numerical models and perform functional and performance modelling using Matlab/Simulink or specialist tools.
You keep an open mind, enabling the team to develop innovative concepts with unique properties
You build up a good professional relation, with internal and external actors
You will work in the product development department for EV drive systems
You will work with processes and automotive quality process standards

Profile / Requirements

Master or PhD in Electr-Mechanical Engineering
+ 10 years experience as a specialist in electric powertrain design
Well-established experience in automotive is mandatory
You have the ability and drive to develop new cutting edge solutions and ‘out of the box' thinking
You are a driven and enthusiastic team player and a technical opinion leader.
You have an extensive network and state-of-the-art knowledge
You are prepared to travel on a regular basis
You can work on-site in Sint-Truiden
