They are seeking a Regulatory Reporting Analyst in Chester on a 6 month contract with the potential to extend. This role is hybrid working being office based 3 days a week, 2 days working from home, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, flexibility around working hours is required due to the nature of the position.
The focus of this position will be to automate and improve their financial regulatory reporting routines and processes. You will be brought into the team to support the numerous ongoing reporting routines as well as provide support on the automation projects.
The Team
The Global Liquidity Management (GLM) team is responsible for the timely preparation of Liquidity reporting across the organisation with teams based across Global locations. The 18 team members based in Chester are specifically focused on all EMEA based reporting with requirements to regulators in the UK, Ireland and across the EU.
In GLM, associates have exposure to all of the various products in which the bank does business in EMEA. The team works closely with other areas of the finance team including Treasury Data Management, Line of Business finance as well as the Financial Controller team in order to develop a good working knowledge of the business operations as well as the various financial reporting capabilities and requirements therein.
The team also partners with the Global teams to work on the continued enhancement of the available technologies as well as sharing best practices on efficiency and operational excellence.
The Role:
Daily Reporting of Liquidity metrics, including analysis and investigation of moves
Liaising with internal colleagues, 2nd and 3rd line defence teams to streamline reporting and ensure resolution of issues
Project Work – involving a wide scope of possibilities but mainly focused on improved design and control within existing reporting routines
Background and Skills:
Prior regulatory reporting experience – ideally with a focus on Liquidity reporting
Attention to detail
Problem solving, analytical and reasoning skills
Ability to “connect the dots”
Technically competent with an ability to learn and use multiple new tools
Proficient in Microsoft Office – particularly good excel skills
Time management and ability to meet SLAs and deadlines
Capacity to handle multiple tasks and work in a flexible environment
Ideally a basic understanding of investment banking products
