We are delighted to be able to offer a unique opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our well-integrated team. This trust doctor post in Anaesthesia and ITU is available from August 2025 for 12 months.

The successful candidate will work on our on-call rotas covering CEPOD and Intensive care and there will be an opportunity to work in all areas of clinical anaesthesia during this post.

The duties of the post meet the requirements of the CT2 Equivalent posts as detailed by the Royal College of Anaesthetists. The 2021 RCoA Anaesthetics curriculum will be followed. The duties will include pre, peri and post-operative management of surgical patients, assisting with care of the patients on the ICU,

and provision of assistance with resuscitation calls.

This post will offer training opportunities as per the Royal College of Anaesthetists training guidance.

Communication and liaison with all other medical and service departments within the hospital.

Communication with other hospitals.

Teaching - the postholder may be involved in teaching other doctors and medical students, nurses and other paramedical staff in the team in speciality and special interest.

The post holder will also be expected to participate in the on call rotas on appointment and have already attained the Royal College of Anaesthetitst's Initial Assessment of Competency. The department manages 3 tiers of cover - Theatres, Obstetrics and ITU. This rotation will expect the candidate to participate in the Theatre and ITU on call rotas.
