We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals with 7+ years of experience with Tableau development and who are passionate about creating compelling visualizations to answer challenging business questions. The successful candidate will work closely with Business Analysts to help them develop their BI skills both from a technology and problem-solving perspective. They will also be a key partner to the data engineering side of BI and be integral to mapping out current and future data infrastructure development.
Responsibilities
Collaboration and Innovation:
Collaborate with business units to enhance the overall adoption of the BI strategy.
Recommend improvements to enhance performance, including new technologies and methodologies.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends in business intelligence and data analytics.
Project Management and Support:
Lead BI projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
Provide technical support and training to users on new and existing BI tools and systems.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Create advanced reports and dashboards using Tableau.
Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
Develop and Optimize BI Solutions:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust BI solutions using Tableau.
Ensure high performance of BI tools and scalability in data consumption.
Ensure adherence to data governance and quality standards throughout BI projects.
Qualifications
You understand that BI visualization is as much an art as it is a science.
Demonstrated ability to perform complex data analysis and develop insightful reports.
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience in Supply Chain.
7+ years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence development.
Strong experience in data visualization with Tableau.
bonus points for PowerBI experience
Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of data warehousing principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successfully collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of BI user experience benchmarks, including load/refresh times and usage metrics.
You strive to understand the “why” rather than the “what”.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or Azure.
Understanding of predictive modeling techniques.
Experience with programming languages (Python, R) for predictive modeling/analytics is highly desirable.
A passion for continuous learning and technical growth.
