Administrative Assistant – Alternative Investment (Maternity Contract)

The Role: Executive Assistant -Level Support in an Admin Title
While titled Administrative Assistant, this role is functionally an Executive Assistant position – and then some. You’ll be the trusted right hand to a team of Portfolio Managers and Research Analysts, immersed in the firm’s fast-moving investment environment. Expect to work closely with pivotal figures, becoming an indispensable part of their daily operations.

The team depends on strong early-day support, and you'll be stepping into a role where your punctuality and consistency will be genuinely appreciated.
Key Responsibilities:
Extensive calendar management and scheduling across global time zones
High-volume conference call coordination and meeting bookings
Complex international and domestic travel arrangements
Processing detailed expense reports
Phone coverage and conference call setup
Assisting in elements of the research process
Occasional personal assistant duties (e.g. reservations, diary management)
Supporting corporate access, roadshows, and investor events
Working on ad hoc high-level projects
About You: You’re an experienced administrative or executive assistant (5+ years) from a hedge fund, investment bank, or alternative investment environment. With a natural ability to stay two steps ahead, you bring polish, gravitas, and proactive energy to everything you do.
You’re not just efficient — you're someone who thrives in a team-centric environment. You take pride in contributing to a greater collective success and naturally communicate openly and constructively with those around you.
You’ll bring:
Strong industry knowledge, ideally within alternative investments
Excellent knowledge of the investor relations and earnings cycle
First-hand experience of roadshows and coordinating corporate access
Superb Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
A working knowledge of tools like Slack or Symphony
Impeccable organisational and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask under pressure with meticulous attention to detail
A calm, confident and team-centric manner
Degree educated with strong A-Levels
The Offer:
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 depending on experience
Contract Length: 6–12 months maternity cover (to be confirmed)
Working Hours: 7.30am – 5pm, ideal for early risers who value work-life balance
Hybrid Working: 4 days in office, often Fridays from home
