Sysco Europe, who’s operating sites are in Great Britain, Ireland, Sweden and France, are now recruiting for a Senior Business Analyst to join the European Technology team on a 2-year fixed term contract.
What will I be doing?
Sysco Europe is embarking on a major supply planning optimisation project using the RELEX platform, this role will ensure its successful deployment across our EU operations network. Reporting to the Inbound Logistics Lead, you’ll be responsible for translating business requirements into clear and actionable user stories, helping to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. Working closely with key stakeholders to document and map out business process flows, ensuring that the processes are well understood and aligned with the project goals. Additionally, the role involves documenting data flows, setting up necessary data structures, and ensuring that data is properly captured and integrated throughout the systems. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to elicit, interpret, and capture business needs, translating them into clear, actionable functional and non-functional requirements, along with well-defined acceptance criteria
This is a home-based role, however occasional travel across Sysco’s GB and European depot network is required, so flexibility with travel is required.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Responsible for translating business needs into clear technical requirements, ensuring proposed solution meets agreed outcomes.
Key role in communicating between the business and technology, acting as a translator where necessary.
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and surveys to gather detailed insights.
Collaborate with technical teams to design scalable solutions aligned with business goals.
Support change initiatives by documenting processes and identifying impacts.
Planning and managing small scale change where needed.
Ensure personal knowledge and exposure to business change opportunities remains up to date, appropriate and relevant.
Promote knowledge sharing and collaborative problem-solving.
To work within internal project delivery governance processes, with familiarity of both agile and waterfall methodologies
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain planners, logistics experts, IT developers, and third-party vendors, to design and implement technology-driven solutions that drive operational efficiency, enhance visibility, and support strategic decision-making across the supply chain network.
Identify and note Risks and Issues so they can be tracked and resolved.
About you:
Experience as a Business Analyst in a technology environment, particularly in large-scale projects involving business process and technology changes is required. Ideally, within the Supply Chain technology domain areas such as: Planning, Forecast, Demand, Vendor Portals and / or a FMCG / wholesale / retail environment. You’ll have extensive experience in managing end-to-end implementations, from solution design to deployment, and providing ongoing support to the business post-go-live. We’re looking for someone who excels at asking insightful questions to gather detailed requirements and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and the ability to present and document information tailored to project needs. With an analytical and inquisitive mindset, you should think both tactically and strategically, offering various options across project stakeholders to address challenges. A key role to support projects in surfacing risks and issues early and suggesting mitigation options to resolve.
