C#/.Net Software Engineer – Must hold current Nato Secret clearance as a non-negotiable
Contract opportunity to develop C# Desktop systems, utilising WinForms and DevExpress.
Day rate; Lowest Priced technically compliant
Location; Remote
Contract length – Could be until the end of 2028
Clearance held – Nato Security clearance
Fully remote opportunity to join a leading consultancy provider of public sector focused organisations.
What you will be doing;
• Design, develop, and maintain C# WinForms desktop applications using DevExpress.
• Participate in the full Agile software development lifecycle including:
o Sprint planning
o Daily stand-ups
o Sprint reviews and retrospectives
• Implement and maintain user interfaces and backend integrations.
• Create new and enhance existing interfaces (file-based and real-time).
• Conduct integration testing and technical coordination.
• Document code, features, and decisions.
• Conduct impact analysis and present solution options.
• Participate in daily meetings, workshops, and potential on-site events.
• Report sprint progress and outcomes both verbally and in writing.
• Use Azure DevOps for task tracking and version control.
What we need;
• Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent).
• 10+ years as a software developer, including 5+ years in C#.
• 5+ years experience in WinForms development.
• Proficient in:
o C#
o Third-party UI frameworks
o Async/multi-threaded programming
o Integration patterns (JSON, XML)
o Object-oriented principles
o API development (consumer and provider)
o Git version control
o SQL Server (basic querying)
