PROJECT MANAGER (Data Centre Migration) | London | Hybrid | £475/day | Initial 6 months
A managed service client of ours are looking for an experienced Project Manager who has managed the build out of Co-Lo data centre space, the migration activity to it as well as the decommissioning of the old Co-Lo space back to landlord.
Role Details:
Contract - initial 6 months
Hybrid - 1 day on-site per week
Central London
£475/day - inside IR35
Responsibilities:
Define cage/space specification and make sure build meets client standards
Manage Co-Lo vendor and their build teams to ensure the requirements are fully adhered
Keep client Data Centre team informed and validate with them regularly
Review requirements with Application/service/infrastructure (inc. Networks) teams
Engage and manage multi stakeholder teams across Infrastructure/development/architecture/governance/customer facing/business teams
Planning the build and migration of application/services & manage customers to obtain buy in to plans and be SPOC to field technical queries.
Run/support migration prerequisites/tests (NIT's/DR-Resilience tests/Migration dress rehearsals/migrations (lift and shift and logical)
Skills/Experience Required:
Extensive Project Management experience of Data Centre migrations/exits
Experience of managing Co-Lo data centre space
Experience on the execution side of the Co-Lo build post contract set up
Financial services experience is extremely desirable

This role sits within the End User Support function, running the lifecycle and configuration of the internal software assets as efficiently and cost effectively as possible. Day to day management, governance, tracking, monitoring and auditing IT internal lifecycle of logical assets across the full licence suite (not just Microsoft).
