Test Manager - Workday Finance

Rate - £700 - £800pd Inside IR35

emagine is seeking experienced freelance consultants to fill the role of Test Manager for the Workday Finance Programme. This is a leadership position that will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of testing procedures for the Future of Finance (FoF) programme. Ideal candidates will demonstrate exceptional planning, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead a team in achieving project milestones.

Main Responsibilities

The Test Manager will oversee all testing activities for the FoF programme, ensuring all cycles meet quality objectives on time and within budget.

Develop and maintain test strategies, plans, and procedures.
Define testing scope, objectives, and deliverables for each test phase.
Identify and manage testing-related risks.
Lead and motivate a team of testers from Finance and IT.
Coordinate the creation and execution of test scripts and use cases.
Provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding test progress and results.
Identify areas for improvement in testing processes and tools.
Ensure defects are reported, assigned, and resolved promptly.
Work closely with stakeholders to align testing efforts with programme requirements.

Key Requirements

Solid understanding of test management tools, techniques, and methodologies.
Hands-on test management experience in a business change programme environment.
Demonstrated stakeholder management skills at all seniority levels.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to influence and lead a team towards common goals.
Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
Experience managing testing for Workday implementations.
Experience within financial transformation programmes is a major plus.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps in a test management capacity is advantageous.

Nice to Have

Experience working in the London Insurance market.
Release and cutover management experience.
