Sky Advertising Technology delivers cutting-edge solutions for Sky's advertising initiatives, including the industry-leading AdSmart, which enables precise targeting of advertisements to relevant households. As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and deploying these products on our proprietary Kubernetes platform.

What You'll Do

Drive the design and architecture of the AdTech Kubernetes platform
Develop automation tools to streamline platform operations and speed up tenants onboarding
Develop new capabilities to enable onboarding a wider range of tenants
Build monitoring, observability and admin processes for an effective operation of the platform
Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and security as the number of tenants grows
Manage platform infrastructure rollouts through a robust CI/CD pipeline supported by automated testing
Collaborate with service operation analysts, SREs and software developers for the effective growth and operation of the platform
Support multi-tenant environments, including support queries and incident responses

What You'll Bring

Strong experience with infrastructure and software development and delivery life-cycle.
Expertise in multiple programming languages (e.g., Golang, Python) and deep familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
Good understanding of networking principles and protocols, ingrained automation and testing skills, and proficiency in infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, balancing innovation and stability, with a customer-focused approach and good communication skills.
Good knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, and familiarity with other cloud providers such as AWS and Azure.
Good knowledge of platform-specific monitoring, observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana), and understanding of platform as a service (PAAS) and multi-tenancy.
