Freelance Functional / Technical Analyst
We are looking for an experienced Functional Analyst to play a key role in translating business requirements into system designs, overseeing solution planning, managing security standards, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining high-quality documentation. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors to ensure that systems and solutions are aligned with business goals, secure, scalable, and efficiently documented.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, analyze needs, and translate them into detailed functional specifications and system designs.
Design and recommend end-to-end solutions that align with business objectives, considering current system architecture and future needs.
Develop and document detailed use cases, workflows, and process maps to ensure clear communication between business and technical teams.
Ensure that solutions are scalable, cost-effective, and meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
Analyze and prioritize business needs, ensuring clarity and feasibility, and then create a structured set of functional and non-functional requirements.
Review and evaluate solutions for vulnerability risks and ensure appropriate measures are in place to maintain the security of systems.
Conduct regular audits and participate in security risk assessments, ensuring continuous monitoring and improvement of security practices in system design.
Act as the primary point of contact for third-party vendors involved in delivering IT services, software, and hardware solutions.
Evaluate and manage vendor performance, ensuring that deliverables are met in line with the agreed contract terms, budget, and timelines.
Collaborate with vendors during the implementation phase, reviewing system designs, and ensuring alignment with business and security requirements.
Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including system designs, architecture diagrams, user manuals, and process flows.
Document requirements, use cases, and solutions in a clear, concise manner for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Develop and maintain standardized templates for requirements gathering, design documents, and functional specifications.
Identify and help resolve defects by working closely with development and testing teams.
Ensure that solutions are properly validated before deployment, including performance testing, security testing, and integration testing.
Regularly communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring that expectations are clearly set and managed.
Requirements
5+ Years Experience as a Functional / Technical Analyst
Extensive experience with elaborating and implementing tech solutions
French speaking
