Gas & Power Business Analyst is needed for an exciting long term contract opportunity within the Energy Trading sector
This Gas & Power Business Analyst role is perfect for someone who has a deep understanding of Energy trading, and is a Gas & Power SME, understanding the market dynamics & how the wider world impacts the Gas & Power markets. For this Gas & Power Business Analyst role, having a strong understanding of data coming in from the exchanges such as EPEX SPOT, EEX Futures or Nord Pool is essential.
Experience working with ETRM systems is very advantageous, this is due to the role needing someone who is confident with ETRM product onboarding, setting up exchange-based products, trade capture, end of day output calculations & how a product needs to be modelled and captured in an ETRM.
This hire will be working on new functionality of trade volumes associated to trade PPA, working with offshore delivery teams
This hire MUST understand data coming in from the exchanges, have knowledge of trade capture etc
Examples of great prior experience is whether they have set up exchange-based products, understand product specification for an EAX financial set link, how a product needs to be modelled and captures in an ETRM, understanding of marked market calculations, end of day output calculations & ultimately energy with product control
This role is designed for a Power & Gas SME Business Analyst
As a Gas & Power Business Analyst you will be joining the organisation to spearhead the internal global digital transformation they are currently undergoing across all verticals, specifically looking at their Gas & Power systems. With the Gas & Power markets currently being in the spotlight due to changes in the wider world and its markets, coming into the organisation as a Gas & Power SME will cement you as a key member of the team on a long-term basis, as someone stakeholders across the business can turn to for all things Gas & Power. As part of their digital evolution, a brand-new Power ETRM is being introduced within the next 12 months, with the current ETRM being phased out by the end of the year. As a Gas & Power Business Analyst you will be introducing new functionality of trade volumes associated to trade PPA (Power Purchase Agreements) & taking data coming in from the relevant exchanges.
This Gas & Power Business Analyst will help guide the client through market shits, operational challenges that arise when upgrading IT infrastructure and financial decisions that will ensure the projects profitability, compliance and strategic growth in this competitive and regulated industry.
Having strong communication skills with offshore stakeholders is key and good documentation skills is essential for working with the organisations off-shore delivery teams.

Business Analyst Experience within Gas & Power market
Key Gas & Power Business analyst Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the Physicals or Derivatives Energy Trading space domain
· Strong background in Energy Trading and familiarity with trading platforms, specifically Gas & Power
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
· Experience working with ETRM systems
. Experience with Product onboarding, Curve set-up, Complex Pricing, Trade Capture, Valuations, PNL.
. Identifying improvements in the existing processes/products
. Building long term sustainability though documentation
. Working alongside the front office and risk teams to understand requirements

You will be responsible for the quality production of contact lenses through managing and maintaining exceptional module performance to achieve the required quality, yield and volumes in a safe working practise. Essential Functions & Accountabilities Health & Safety (H&S) & Compliance Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Follow standard operating procedures to operate various pieces of manufacturing equipment. Comply with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and cleaning routines for all operating equipment. Conducting quality control checks and timely review of production statistics to ensure product compliance throughout the process. Communication Document and record module performance on daily handovers. Attend meetings and trainings programmes as required. Communicate findings related to underperformance and improvements. Process & Performance Maximising the performance of all equipment relating to the contact lens manufacturing process, in accordance with related procedures and Health and Safety Guidelines. Monitoring and adjust equipment and process conditions to ensure that ‘right first time’ quality is achieved, and non-conformities are reported. Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance in line with the Technical Operator role. Participate in and lead Continuous Improvement initiatives based on root causes in order to improve performance and reduce quality loss and improve H&S approach. Troubleshoot and diagnose performance related equipment issues which cause loss in yield or volume using systems such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Participate in regular yield meetings by providing data related to dry line and cavity performance and acting to improve. Perform batch changeovers and end of run clean down including disassembly and reassembly of necessary equipment whilst maintaining batch integrity. Controlled manufacturing environment with a clean room area with required gowning procedures e.g. all hair covered, no make-up and no heels. The work, typically carried out over a 12-hour shift is physically demanding and a significant proportion of the shift will require the employee to stand and be active. Some of our work areas have a high level of noise. Where this is above prescribed limits, PPE is supplied and must be worn at all times. In some roles you may be required to handle chemicals.
