What is the role about?
We are looking for an experienced Workday Financial Consultant with strong Workday Financial expertise to help ensure our clients are utilizing the best possible Workday solutions.
In this role, you will lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday Financial solutions for clients, ensuring alignment with their business objectives and financial processes.
Responsibilities will include:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather financial requirements and translate them into Workday Financial functional solutions.
Provide strategic guidance to clients or service partners on best practices for Workday Financial functionality.
Manage functional deliverables associated with Workday Financial implementation projects.
Facilitate troubleshooting and coordinate with other internal team members to resolve financial system issues.
Serve as the primary functional contact during Workday Financial implementations for existing and new clients.
Develop detailed documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and business requirements specific to Workday Financials.
Conduct and oversee system testing, scenario testing, and validation of Workday Financial configurations.
Manage system setup, analyze financial business processes, and align them with Workday Financial functionalities.
Coordinate cross-functional tasks and create/manage project plans related to financial system implementations.

As a VR consultant, you will have the flexibility to manage your own day, as long as you meet your set objectives and client demands. Often your team will be a mix of on-site and remote based members who will connect using IM, video calls and an online ticketing system. Good communication skills and time management is essential for this role.
What skills are we looking for?
Our roles are remotely based (even pre-Covid), meaning you will be working from your home office, connecting with your client and team on a daily basis.
To be successful in this type of environment, you will need to have the ability to communicate effectively (in English) with cross-functional teams, explain complex concepts in easy, understandable terms, align HR / business knowledge with Workday functionality, and proactively drive process improvements. You will need to be comfortable with video calls and be proactive in keeping communication channels open with your client and team.
Skills and Experience Required:
Minimum of 3+ years of Workday Functional experience in Workday Financial Management
Experience leading Workday Financial design sessions and facilitating process alignment workshops.
Strong expertise in Workday Financial configuration, including business processes, reporting, security, and tenant setup.
In-depth understanding of Workday Financial modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, and Financial Reporting.
Experience with data migration and financial reporting automation.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Workday Financials certification (preferred)
Adaptive planning (advantageous)
Other Qualifications/Skills that will be beneficial but not mandatory:
College or University Degree in Finance or Information Systems.
Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, IFRS, GAAP).
Understanding of integrations between Workday Financials and third-party systems (e.g., banks, tax systems, expense management tools).
Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of additional ERP financial systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
As this is a remote role, you can be based anywhere in the EU or UK region, so long as you are authorised to work without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
