My client is an established Legal company looking for a Senior IT Technician to join their in-house team in Guildford, supporting around 50 users. You'll handle everything from deploying devices and managing Microsoft 365 to troubleshooting day-to-day issues and liaising with suppliers - all with the backing of an IT Manager and a third-party support provider for escalations.
There will be opportunity to work from home on specific days.
Key Responsibilities
First point of contact for IT support across the business (in person and remote)
Deploy and configure new laptops and devices
Administer and secure the Microsoft 365 environment (users, MFA, mail security)
Provide remote desktop support and troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues
Monitor and maintain antivirus and endpoint protection systems
Manage users and permissions in Azure AD and SharePoint Online
Liaise with external suppliers for hardware/software licensing and escalated support
Support ongoing IT improvement projects and system upgrades
The Person:
We are looking for someone who:
Has at least one year of experience in an IT support role or at least two years of experience in an office environment with a recognised IT qualification.
Has good interpersonal skills-communicating effectively via phone, email, and face-to-face.
Has strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word, Excel, Outlook and
is eager to learn and develop their expertise in other applications and IT support.
Can adapt to changing priorities and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in a legal or insurance environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
