Responsibilities

The Keysight Information Security and Compliance team rises daily to the challenges of meeting the cyber security needs of a global, advanced technology company. The team delivers security solutions and services across a range of technology domains.

The cyber security team is looking for an individual with a passion for applying advanced experience and skills to lead the way in securing Keysight’s use of modern computing infrastructure and platforms. The role requires the ability to analytically assess technology needs of multiple teams, propose solutions to complex requirements, and drive execution as a subject matter expert.

Candidates should have a strong interest in cyber security, and 10+ years of practical experience with a variety of tools for securing different computing environments. An analytical approach to problems using data and critical thinking will be essential.

A successful candidate will be a member of the Information Security and Compliance team and will have a key role in the end-to-end development of enterprise security solutions, from whiteboard conception and design to testing, deployment, and overseeing the handoff to operations. Collaboration on projects with the rest of the security team and engagement with engineers from other departments will be frequent.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess at least 4 of the Required Qualifications:

BS or MS in Computer Science or Information Security or equivalent
10+ years in engineering roles creating security solutions that can scale to complex IaaS, PaaS and large on-prem environments
Advanced understanding for securing networks and network protocols.
Advanced understanding for securing applications and application protocols.
Advanced understanding for securing operating systems.
Ability to independently handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills, on both technical and non-technical issues

The best candidate will also have 2 or more of the Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with IAM, WAF, Vulnerability Management, or Pen Testing.
Experience with security concepts pertaining to private and public cloud
Experience with scripting and data languages (Python, Bash, JSON, etc.)
Working knowledge of tools used to test and assess security
Experience evaluating commercial and open-source network security tools and services
Understanding of public keys, certificates, and authentication concepts
Ability to understand and explain technical details of vulnerability disclosures
Experience sharing knowledge and leading other technical staff on team initiatives
Experience developing automation to integrate security tools and improve user efficiency
Experience with Automation
Experience with Artificial Intelligence

You have the ability to manage and use a wide variety of security software, systems, services and toolsets such as E-mail Security, EDR, NAC, IT/OT Segmentation, 365 etc along with an understanding of malware prevention, emerging threats, attacks and vulnerability management. Understanding of Information Security best practice for elements including workstations, servers, cloud, networking, architecture, common protocols and application security. You have the ability to confidently perform security audits, both internal and external (e.g., third party and supplier assurance) and ensure recommendations are followed for continuous improvement. You have strong Project Management skills - able to independently manage multiple projects, manage own workload, prioritise and meet tight deadlines. Strong Incident Response Management skills including threat and vulnerability analysis. The ability to communicate business and technical risk to all levels of audience.
