About
3rd Line Systems Support Engineer - 12 month Fixed Term Contract - Fully Remote
My leading public sector client is seeking an experienced 3rd Line Systems Support Engineer to join their team as an expert in legacy systems and a move towards the cloud. This role is fully remote, or can be hybrid if the successful candidate prefers that working model
The Role
Provide expertise, ongoing support and end-to-end maintenance for legacy systems
Responsible for the management of complex technical problems which may impact the legacy systems
Proactive monitoring
Conduct timely collaboration with a multidisciplinary team comprising of suppliers, business users and technical teams to build up knowledge and experience in legacy systems so that basic support duties can be undertaken in-house and assist in the decommissioning of the systems once they are no longer required.
Lead and oversee the development of the hybrid support system with appropriate documentation and fit for purpose monitoring systems and processes put in place that will enable the continued delivery of the organisation and directorates strategic outcomes
Provide day-to-day management, support and administration of the organisation's IT infrastructure, to help deliver the technology service in line with Service Level Agreements.
