Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and security-cleared Mechanical Design Engineer to provide comprehensive design support within the defence sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuration control, technical data management, and interpreting technical data and Bills of Materials for large and complex product assemblies. This role requires SC Clearance and British nationality.
Key Responsibilities:
Configuration Control: Manage configuration control processes, ensuring all design changes are accurately documented and implemented
Technical Data Management: Handle technical data management, including the interpretation of technical data and Bills of Materials for large and complex product assemblies
Configuration Management Documentation: Prepare and handle Configuration Management documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with other project components
Project Support: Provide support for various projects, ensuring timely delivery from requirement to completion
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Experience: Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, particularly within the defence sector
Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, proficiency in Configuration Control and Technical Data Management, and familiarity with Configuration Management principles
Security Clearance: Must be SC Cleared and a British National
