Commercial Data Analyst
Chichester, West Sussex
Salary Negotiable

An award-winning and highly entrepreneurial privately owned business based in Chichester is seeking a ‘data whizz’ with excellent data analysis and visualisation skills to join their growing organisation. This is a rapid-growth environment where my client has made an industry leading name for themselves in a short period of time and is building on several years of success. A highly vibrant, exciting, and dynamic environment to be a part of.

This growth driven role will sit as part of the commercial team and report directly to the Commercial Director (board level). As this is a new position for the business, you will have the opportunity to add significant, tangible value to the business and really ‘make your mark’. The key focus on the role will be extracting and analysing data to aid in effective stock forecasting, stock control, product trends, and profitability analysis. There will also be several exciting future projects for this person to assist the leadership team with. Excellent proficiency with Excel and data visualisation tools such as Power BI is key, alongside relevant practical experience of commercial data analysis.

This is a highly attractive opportunity for a career focused individual who wants to make a significant impact in their next role and be greatly rewarded, both through financial gain and business status.

Role Overview:
Develop and maintain stock forecasting models to optimize inventory levels across an ever-growing inventory.
Analyse historical sales data and stock levels, identify seasonal trends, and adapt quickly to changes in market demand - to improve forecast accuracy.
Continuously monitor inventory performance, identifying risks such as overstocks and stockouts, and recommend corrective actions. It’s important we learn from previous out of stock events, to ensure these do not repeat - allowing sales to grow and products to develop.
Utilize data visualization tools to present insights and trends to key stakeholders.
Implement and improve forecasting algorithms using advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning where applicable.
Work with large datasets from various sources, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
Contribute towards the improvement of stock forecasting and reporting processes.
