We are support our client a leading Global Consultancy who are seeking a Workplace Engineer to join our End User Experience (EUE) department, supporting a diverse range of high-profile clients. As a Workplace Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) build image for desktop and server platforms, utilizing tools such as SCCM. This role is based in Salisbury, Wiltshire, with a hybrid work arrangement 4 onsite, 1 homeworking day and offers a competitive salary of £45k-£50k base + bonus.Responsibilities


Develop the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) build image for desktop and server platforms
Own and maintain the SOEs using SCCM
Identify and analyze patches and their impact
Assess the impact of technical changes on the SOE at an operational level
Qualifications


Proficiency in MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit) 2012/2013
Experience in desktop/server deployment or SCCM
Knowledge of standard O/S builds for Desktop or Server including Windows 7/8/10/11
Scripting skills (VB, WMI, Command Line)
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines within agreed SLAs
Analytical and methodical problem-solving approach
MCSE/MCP Certification in Windows (preferred but not essential)
Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and software deployment tools
Understanding of Remedy/EARS/ServiceNOW or similar (beneficial)

Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with the EUE team to ensure the smooth functioning of the SOE, analyzing patches, and implementing technical changes. You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating the SOE using SCCM and addressing any operational impacts.Salary and Benefits
£45k-£50k base
10 % bonus annually + 2.5 % per quarter of annual salary (Once DV Clearance obtained/working on DV projects)
£1k bonus when they obtain DV Clearance
