Job Description:
Within the Webplatform dev team, you will participate in testing and ensuring the technical quality of Webplatform and related services. In addition, you will gradually get to know the other building blocks of the department and participate in testing these systems. In the long term, you will also contribute to testing the components of a digital assistant. You do this by setting up and maintaining extensive automatic tests, monitoring and reporting of the underlying components. You work with Playwright in TypeScript as a test suite and support the application manager in further developing the test framework and qualitatively monitoring new code. Ideally, you have an affinity with frontend frameworks and are interested in developing visual reporting with it.
Demonstrable experience as a test specialist with testing small business-critical or larger non-business-critical applications
Demonstrable experience with formal test methods and techniques
Demonstrable knowledge of specialist testing suites or tools
Demonstrable knowledge of functional testing
Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR - level C2.

Tasks & responsibilities:
Testing the technical components of Webplatform Vlaanderen and the underlying services:
Developing and maintaining a test suite in Playwright
Monitoring and reporting the status of underlying systems
Identifying, documenting and following up on bugs in Jira and Confluence
Functional testing of new code based on test notes from developers
Understanding the underlying components and their interactions within the platform
Analyzing logs to ensure the correct functioning of the application
Proactively collaborate within the dev team to achieve sprint goals
Getting to know and contributing to automated testing of other components from the department, which together will form a digital assistant:
You apply the knowledge and skills you have acquired within Webplatform Vlaanderen more broadly to support other building blocks
You make connections between the different components and help devise test strategies to ensure the quality of mutual dependencies
Technologies & required knowledge:
Test tools: Playwright (main technology), experience with other test suites is a plus

· Functional testing: Hands-on experience with decoupled website applications
· Bug tracking: Experience with Jira and Confluence
· Monitoring: Experience with monitoring tools and reporting systems
