PE Global is currently recruiting for several Laboratory Technician contract roles with a leading multinational Food Manufacturing client based in Reading.
Job Responsibilities
Working in different laboratories as demand requires
Provide high quality customer service at all times by ensuring effective organisation of assigned workload, integrity of analytical data generated and timely/accurate provision of results.
Perform a range of basic routine analysis, product manufacturing and sample preparation under supervision of a senior member of staff.
Perform laboratory tasks following specified methodologies, such as Standard Operating Procedures.
Use of specified instrumentation and laboratory equipment, including calibration where required.
Produce reliable, accurate data and keep accurate records of laboratory work undertaken and results.
Follow product formulations and methods considering standard operating procedures and food safety to produce food products at bench scale or manufacturing.
Operate basic lab and manufacturing equipment as directed.
Be competent in the use of generic and specific software packages required for the role: Laboratory’s LIMS system, Q-Pulse, etc.
Perform admin and housekeeping duties as directed.
Requirements
A levels in a scientific discipline .
Strong interest in the food industry.
Flexibility to work in different teams.
