About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves developing, maintaining, and implementing automated testing frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of our platform. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both Java and JavaScript and capable of automating testing processes, manipulating test data, and collaborating closely with the engineering and product teams to ensure seamless product releases.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for API, application, and data validation testing.
Create and execute automated test scripts using JavaScript to streamline testing processes.
Identify, document, and track defects, working with developers to ensure timely resolution.
Collaborate with customers to evidence conformance testing of the integration touchpoints as part of customer onboarding.
Develop and maintain performance, security, and regression tests.
Assist with test data generation and data manipulation for complex test scenarios.
Conduct manual testing when necessary to validate edge cases and exploratory testing scenarios.
Ensure compliance with industry best practices and open banking standards for quality assurance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing strategies with business and technical objectives.

Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role in a technology-driven environment, ideally within open banking or broader financial services.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript for test automation and data manipulation.
Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks such as Virtuoso or similar.
Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) and API validation techniques.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment workflows.
Experience in writing test cases, executing test plans, and debugging complex systems.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and best practices.
Ability to analyze test results, provide detailed reports, and collaborate with development teams.
Experience with performance and security testing methodologies.
Experience with AWS cloud services.
