Job Description
Is graduation around the corner, or do you already have some work experience?
Then our traineeship, starting in September 2025, might be the perfect place for you to start a challenging and exciting career in data!
Where you’re going to get started
From September 2025, you will go through an intensive 10-week training program at our headquarters in Diegem. With guidance of your personal coach, you will put your newly acquired skills into practice and prepare for your first assignment at the customer. The program will cover basic and advanced sessions to enable working in most data platform environments, and help you obtain your first certificates.
Your Impact
Understanding data is important. Within our data visualization team, we help organizations do just that. We do this by visualizing information and data. We make abstract information accessible and understandable. We translate relevant data into clear tables, graphs, diagrams and heatmaps. Based on the right insights, we can then make well-founded decisions about next actions. Because: seeing is understanding. Seeing encourages trust. Technologies such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik and D3.js hold no secrets for us.
Within our Data Visualization team, we want to help each other and keep learning from each other. We do this by working closely together within the team. So are you looking for new challenges with great colleagues and a steep learning curve? Then the Data Visualization team at Sopra Steria is the right place for you.
Qualifications
We’re seeking passionate colleagues who are eager to push the boundaries in digital transformation and technology consulting. At Sopra Steria, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills in a constructive, collaborative team environment, working on impactful projects that drive change for our clients. If you thrive on challenge and meet (most of) the qualifications below, we look forward to your application!
Your background
As a Junior Data Visualization consultant, you guide our clients in their exciting search for the ideal data visualization story. In the first place you are someone who is communicative and dares to think along with the client. You try to bring deeper data issues to the surface and then answer them with a targeted and creative visualization solution. Besides the analysis process and the visual aspect, you also pay attention to the end-to-end quality of your solution. Teamwork with different data profiles does not scare you. In short, your ambition is to let data speak for itself, in a completely unique and distinctive way!
You have recently graduated or are about to graduate with a bachelor's or master's degree in a data-related field.
You are eager to learn and excited to expand your knowledge across various data domains (SQL, Data Modelling, Visual Design Principles).
You have strong communication skills and enjoy working in a consultancy environment.
You are analytical, critical, and enjoy collaborating with others to find solutions.
You want to become an expert in the most prominent visualization tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Power BI.
You strive for creative visualization solutions in a challenging business context.
Adding your dashboards or portfolio in the application is a plus.
You are fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
We welcome 11.000 new colleagues every year worldwide, and it’s essential to us that everyone feels supported and valued. At Sopra Steria, you’ll work on projects that make a change for our clients. And you’ll get the opportunity to grow your own skills in the process, too. Your path to excellence starts at The Sopra Steria Academy, where you’ll get exclusive development opportunities with experts and strategic partners to fast-track you to your full potential. You’ll have access to more than 250 trainings to get you there.
You’ll become a part of a major Tech player in Europe recognised for its consulting, digital services, and software development.
Additional Information
Do you picture yourself in a fast-growing, vibrant team at the cutting edge of software implementation? Does working with international clients across multiple industries sound exciting? Then you’re in the right place.
We offer a generous employee benefits package that includes:
Access to our Sopra Steria training and personal development academy
A company car lease or mobility budget
A company laptop and smartphone
Monthly office drinks
Insurance coverage
