Job Description
About the Role

With the increasing number of systems being developed by our client, we are looking for an Azure-focused Cybersecurity Specialist to support the security design, implementation, and maintenance of platforms hosting these new systems. The role will involve working across multiple environments, including on-premises and cloud infrastructures, with a strong focus on Azure security tools and best practices.


Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage Azure security services, including Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Entra ID, Key Vault, Policy, DDoS Protection, and other relevant tools.
Configure and monitor SIEM solutions, ensuring effective threat detection and response.
Implement and maintain threat detection and prevention systems within Azure and hybrid environments.
Set up and manage vulnerability scanning and assessment tools to ensure compliance with security standards.
Develop security policies and cloud security posture management strategies.
Configure security logging and alerting mechanisms to proactively detect and mitigate security incidents.
Ensure compliance with security frameworks and standards in cloud and on-premises environments.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to secure cloud-native applications and services.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven hands-on experience securing cloud infrastructures, particularly Microsoft Azure.
Strong knowledge of Azure security services, including Sentinel, Entra ID, Security Center, and Defender for Cloud.
Experience with SIEM solutions and security event monitoring in Azure environments.
Familiarity with cloud security frameworks (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO 27001) and zero-trust security principles.
Practical experience configuring identity and access management (IAM), network security (firewalls, DDoS protection), and policy enforcement in Azure.
Hands-on experience with cloud-native security tools and vulnerability management solutions.
Strong understanding of incident response and threat intelligence in cloud ecosystems.
Experience working in enterprise-scale cloud or hybrid environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, or similar.
Experience working in government or highly regulated environments.
Knowledge of multi-cloud security strategies is a plus.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Strong hands-on experience in Azure security (not just theoretical knowledge).
Can effectively configure and secure Azure services beyond basic familiarity.
Able to demonstrate practical implementation of security controls in cloud environments.
Comfortable working in complex, enterprise-scale infrastructures.
