We are looking for tech passionate individuals to want to start their career as an apprentice in the IT industry. You will be joining large business area working for our largest UK public sector client working with inspiring experts from which you can learn from and enjoy the career opportunities this brings. You will be joining a large community of Graduates and Apprentices across the business.

This is a full-time office-based working role; you should expect to be in our Telford office 5 days a week.

The role will be a technical support engineer within Account Production Services (APS). Developing technical skills and working as part of a team in Telford to fault find and resolve technical issues that end users maybe experiencing. Supporting Windows 10, Windows 11, MacOS and O365 whilst developing knowledge to support non-standard applications.

During this 18-month course, you will study part-time for a Level 3 IT Support Technician qualification, whilst undertaking a full-time job. You will cover many modules such as Supporting IT Architecture, Working with End User Devices, and Working with Network Architecture.

Alongside your L3 programme, we will also offer you with accelerated approach in your role at Capgemini, providing a significant role-based and soft-skills training programme to ensure both personal and technical growth.

Your responsibilities will include:

Provide Desktop Support within Capgemini.
Fault identification and resolution of incidents / requests within contracted SLA targets
Mobile solution support (Mobile Phones and Laptops)
Software and hardware installation
PC Configuration
Laptops & MacBook imaging
Assisting with IT Stores tasks when required
Supporting internal events
Creating and maintaining support documentation
When trained you will be expected to work on the Tech Table or Virtual Tech Table assisting end users with technical issues

YOUR PROFILE

To be eligible, you need:

7 GCSE’s including Maths, English, and Computer Science at grade 4-9
Or equivalent BTEC in a STEM subject, Maths & English Grade 4-9 equating to 7 GCSE’s overall

Desirable Skills:

Knowledge of Windows 10 and or Windows 11
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, MS Teams and OneDrive
Knowledge of Apple devices (MacBooks, iPads and MacOS)
Hardware Familiarity (Desktop, Laptop, Printers)
