THE ROLE
This role will report into the Head of Group Reporting and Accountant, and it is based in London.
The role will include involvement in key finance and business initiatives being undertaken as the business moves into the next phase of growth.
OPPORTUNITIES
You will be supporting with M&A initiatives, as they arise by providing technical accounting solutions and working with the wider finance team.
You will be the subject matter expert on accounting relating to group reorganizations.
You will co-ordinate with local controllers, treasury, and group finance team to identify and drive improvements to intercompany accounting process, including mitigation of material FX exposures and settlement of intercompany positions.
You will be supporting treasury with dividend repatriation initiatives and reviewing distributable reserves positions across the group and making recommendations to management.
You will be working with the tax department to advise on accounting matters in respect of tax driven projects
You will build workings relationships with our shared service center and finance transformation team to leverage reporting capabilities to support project work being driven by corporate initiatives.
You will build workings relationships cross functionally within the wider finance team.
You will support in implementation of internal reporting changes that are required by the business.
You will support on other finance projects as initiated by Finance leadership.
Skills
You should have qualified ACA/ACCA from top 6 audit firm.
You should have at least 2- 3 years post qualification in a Financial Reporting role in Industry (large listed).
You should have data analytics exposure and ERP experience.
You should have proven organizational, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact at all staff levels.
You should be fast and responsive – working to tight deadlines.
You should be a team player, maintaining close working relationship with relevant teams across the group.
You should have good analytical skills and proven experience on project work.
You should be up to date knowledge of IFRS reporting.
You should have exposure to consolidation / Multi currency / Intercompany positions.
You should have IFRS working experience.
You should have experience of Oracle ERP system would be beneficial.
It would be nice to have experience with ‘carve out’ accounting in a listed company.
It would be nice to have US GAAP experience.
