Electrical Design Engineer
Role Overview – A vacancy for an electrical design engineer has arisen in Filton. You will join the Test Centre and will contribute to the development of architectures and specifications for data acquisition and control systems for a new test facility and several new test benches focused on Hydrogen testing. You will join a multi-disciplinary team: Test Means Architecture & Integration.
Responsibilities
· Develop Architecture and design solutions for data acquisition and control systems
· Develop Electrical Component electrical schematics
· Specify Instrumentation for a range of different measurements (Pressure, Flow, Voltage, Current, etc…)
· Produce requirement and specification documentation for data acquisition and control systems
Essential
· Electrical Design Tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, KiCad)
· Understanding of Electrical design principles and Electrical systems
· Understanding of Testing principles
· Experience with electrical architecture design
· Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems
· Knowledge of avionic data busses (A429, CAN, AFDX)
· Knowledge of avionic hardware interfaces (discretes, analogues)
· Team spirit and agility

To focus on the review of client files To undertake a CDD completeness check/data gap analysis to check that CDD is appropriate for the level of risk which the client poses to the company, that it is complete and up to date and that SOW/SOF information is complete. To collect missing information and chase any requested information by communicating with clients and Executives. To undertake a review of the activity on the account, ensuring it is in keeping with expectations. To ensure that the account structure is correctly documented and that all parties are stored in Avaloq, to be included in the overnight screening. Undertake technical or any other relevant training as and when required.
