Subsea7 is seeking a SCM Data Analyst to join our team on an initial 6-month contract. We are open to applicants from Aberdeen, London or Paris.

As a business, Subsea7 produces vast amounts of data which play an important role in supporting the way we work. With ever increasing importance placed on data analytics, the need to ensure this data is managed and governed appropriately is critical to deliver predictable performance.

Working closely with the SCM Director of Governance and Sustainability, the Group SCM Data Analyst will support the SCM Function by identifying and co-ordinating the visualisation of all material SCM data globally. A key aspect of the role will be the analysis and trending of data, looking for opportunities for business improvement and to change the way that we deliver our work.

The successful candidate will have an impact on our business at a Group level, raising awareness of how our Company operates and critically how we can improve our competitiveness. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, keen to learn and take on more responsibility and able to work autonomously.

Although the role is focused on SCM data analysis, there will be opportunities to support other Group SCM activities.

What will you be doing?

Interact with IT and SCM Corporate to support request for processing, manipulation and examination of SCM data from various sources into consolidated and user-friendly formats and reports.
Extract information from data sets to identify correlations and patterns, using statistical or AI tools.
Provide data analysis from SAP and other digitalisation-related systems deployed across SCM.
Support the business in reaching their targets and performance metrics, including but not limited to Sustainability objectives, by coordinating supplier screening efforts.
Support the business in the adoption of common codification for procurement and logistics activities.
Collaborate with the Data Governance team to ensure SCM data accuracy and integrity.

Sustainability data

Develop and improve Sustainability data registers and dashboards by domain (Business Ethics, Human Rights & Labour practices, Green House Gas Emissions, Environment) and Regions/Business Units.
Contribute to the preparation and coordination of all material Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting disclosures and data collection to meet compliance and regulatory requirements, as well as clients and other stakeholders.

Performance Monitoring

Cash Management: Work with Finance to monitor global SCM payment terms and explore opportunities to optimise our cash management by Regions/Business Units and type of activity.
Productivity: Develop and track global and regional indicators by type of activity. Enable Global Process Owners to reap the benefits of digitalisation.
Cost of Loss & Knowledge Management: Analyse Cost of Loss (COL) and Supplier Performance Issues (SPI) data associated to SCM activities and ensure that key learnings and takeaways are properly captured and disseminated across the SCM organisation.

Compliance

Process compliance: Analyse process deviation indicators and similar compliance indicators to monitor our process compliance globally and by Regions/Business Units.
Data governance : Verify and confirm data quality assurance through the application of our internal data governance process. Support SCM data steward and data owner and interface with other data stewards from other disciplines.
Codification: Enhance buyer’s PO by checking, correcting and guiding buyers in using codification in S4 Hana. Create and maintain S4 Hana SCM internal catalogues and train the team in its usage.

What experience would we like you to have?

A bachelor’s degree in business analysis, data sciences or related subject.
Strong experience in business analysis or a related field. Ideally in procurement or digital project delivery environments.
Experience in creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
Accomplished analytical skills and ability to work with detail and high accuracy
Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture (ideally SAP S4 Hana)
Competency in Microsoft applications including PowerBI and Teams
Collaborative team worker who also demonstrates initiative and strong accountability
