Mission

As a Portfolio/Solution Architect, you will lead complex architectural projects with significant autonomy. You will provide expert guidance in creating integrated, innovative solutions that align with organizational goals. Your contributions will be critical in strategic technology planning and driving product excellence through high-quality designs and implementations in collaboration with the business organization with a strong emphasis on promoting reuse and synergies. Your scope will be Legal, which includes (among others) Corporate Law Department and Legal Firms.

More specifically you can expect the following accountabilities:

Lead strategic analysis of business and stakeholder requirements.
Drive reusability within and across product lines and regions
Help Development teams to be more effective by providing guidance and mentoring to ensure adherence to industry best practices and standardsKeep track of and have deep understanding of technology and market trends that may impact the company business;
Having an experience of cloud native technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes; preferably on Microsoft Azure.
Collaborate with CoE and drive the main joint initiatives within the region (security CoE, architecture CoE, DevSecOps CoE).
Being fluent in Java and Java enterprise, and the Java ecosystem. .Net knowledge would be a plus.
Contribute through the execution of technology & architectural strategy and standards to the successful delivery of high-quality products on time while working in an Agile/Scrum development;
Introduce industry leading practices and technologies and align the specific technologies identified with the relevant business capabilities they support (technology roadmap);
Define and maintain the enterprise architectural governance process to ensure ongoing alignment with the business strategy both at the business unit and corporate level;
Ensure strict adherence to organizational standards and industry best practices. Drive main architecture processes like Architecture Reviews, Technical Debt, Architecture Decision Record.
Support M&A processes within and outside the region.
Define and document technology standards, policies and the appropriate governance process to enforce them;


Qualifications, Skills And Experience

Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science;
15+ years of experience as a software engineer with architectural responsibilities;
Proven track record in Software (platform) architecture and familiar with modern architectural approaches (Microservices, CQRS, Event Sourcing, etc.);
Experience transforming on-premise products or platforms to Cloud based offerings;
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment in an Agile setting;
Mentorship and Guidance: Strong capability to mentor and guide team members toward success.
Driving a culture of trust, cooperation, honest feedback and focus on value for the market/customer;
Understanding of all phases of the product development life cycle and how to apply the appropriate methodologies and processes to the situation at hand;
Competent in presenting technical and business information to a range of audiences including senior leadership and non-technical audiences;
Creative, dependable and trustworthy, with a can-do attitude;
Ability to make the right decisions with sometimes limited information, in a fast-paced environment;
Highly self-disciplined and self-directed;
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Fluency in English with French as a plus

As per NATO directive “Minimum Level of Communication and Information Systems Capabilities at Land Tactical Level” [MC(2019)0640], the Mission Network Operation Centre (MNOC) contains the Mission Cyber Security Operation Centre (MCSOC), which is the central mission service management and cyber security operations centre. The MCSOC provides mission-wide Cyber Defence (CD)/CIS Security visibility to the mission commander and coordinating/facilitating CD/CIS Security related reporting, incident management, coordination of incident responses, etc., for DCIS operating in exercises or actual operations. The MCSOC is expected to be supported by staff from the NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and the NATO CIS Group (NCISG). Deployed systems are connected to static primarily via SATCOM link, so dependency on this need to be carefully planned and managed. The MNOC also has a controlled interface to existing fixed systems (e.g. NATO Secret – NS).
