Role Title: Infrastructure Managernt - End User Compute Lead
Location: Sheffield, Pond Street (Hybrid)
As the Infrastructure Manager working as part of the Technology Service Delivery Team at RMG, you will be responsible for managing 35,000 connected users, and 21,500 end user devices split between laptops and desktops across RMG’s whole infrastructure estate nationwide. Working cross functionally with a broad range of technology teams internally you will also be responsible for managing multiple outsourced suppliers to deliver projects and services across RMGs end user estate.
You’ll be responsible for managing Annual Evergreen OS Feature upgrades, monthly patching , application packaging, zero-day browser vulnerabilities and everything across a large user estate. No two days are the same in this exciting, business critical role!
What will you do?
As the Infrastructure Manager – End User Compute Lead, you will be responsible for;
Microsoft OS Gold Image Management
Hardware refresh of laptops and desktops via an established delivery process
Deployment of Annual Microsoft Evergreen OS Updates across a 21,500 connected user estate
Responsible for Monthly Security Patching
Application Packaging and deployment via SCCM
Build strong relationships with colleagues across Service Management, Architecture and Cyber
Build strong relationships with Outsourced providers
Proactively manage security, risk, and compliance across End User estate
Incident, Request and Change Management approvals
What skills and experience should you have?
Expertise in End User Compute technologies including, but not limited to Microsoft W11, SCCM, Internet Browsers, M365
Experience with ServiceNow platform
Experience of aligning with Projects and advising on Business Case Financials
Experience of supporting a large organisation and communicating with Senior Leadership Teams
Experience of managing End User via telemetry integration, persona management and Automation/self service
Clear communication to stakeholders, business colleagues, Suppliers and Technology colleagues on EUC activities
Natural collaborator, energetic and enthusiastic about cross functional delivery
