Location: Northampton - Hybrid (2 days per week in office)
Max Rate: £500 per day Inside IR35
Contract Duration: Until 31 December 2025
Are you a skilled Cloud Engineer looking for an exciting new challenge?
Our client is looking for a dynamic Cloud Engineer with expertise in AWS, Python, Jenkins, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies and drive the migration and build of new applications on Cloud, as well as manage complex multi-tiered infrastructure environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Work across continuous integration, development, build, and deployment using automation and cloud technologies to support the growth of DevOps tooling.
Migrate existing applications to the Cloud and build new applications on Cloud platforms.
Build automation jobs for CI/CD development, build, and deployment of applications on Cloud.
Support the build and maintenance of Cloud platforms (internal and external) and manage complex infrastructure environments.
Collaborate with multiple teams to identify improvements and drive them to resolution using cutting-edge CI/CD technologies.
Support test environments, troubleshoot issues, and provide seamless DevOps delivery of infrastructure changes from development through to production.
Essential Skills:
Strong scripting and integration skills (e.g., Shell, Python, Chef, Perl, etc.)
Experience in build engineering and automation of deployments
Familiarity with DevOps tooling: Bitbucket, Jenkins, Nexus, Sonarqube, JIRA, Stash, GIT, TeamCity, Nolio
Proficiency in Cloud technologies: Open Shift, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS
Experience deploying and configuring JBOSS, SpringBoot, etc.
Strong Jenkins experience managing continuous integration
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of micro-service architecture and APIs
Good understanding of Infrastructure, app servers (e.g., JBOSS), and database knowledge
Experience with Active Directory (AD) Authentication and Integration
Familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Experience with monitoring tools such as App Dynamics, ELK Elastic Search, Kibana, Splunk
Understanding of code quality & security gates (e.g., Sonarqube)
AWS Cloud experience
