Due to ongoing success and company expansion, my client are looking to add to their skilled design team with the addition of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

We are looking for an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer. If youre a driven and highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you. You will be working on a variety of Packaging Machinery equipment, which is manufactured and supplied to all parts of the globe.

The Role

Attend specification meetings with customers.
Providing technical guidance to colleagues and take ownership for mechanical design aspects of a project.
Maintain good standards in terms of project documentation.
Work closely with multi disciplined design engineers, resolving any issues and ensuring timely completion of projects.
Remain commercially aware during projects.
Produce parts lists, assembly drawings and detail drawings.
Carry out risk assessments on machinery and assemblies of machinery.
Attend project meetings and update the Project Managers on engineering progress.

The Person

5+ years experience as a Mechanical design engineer.
Experienced with Solidworks or similar.
Produce 2d and 3d models.
Perform engineering calculations and analysis.
Confident leading a technical team on larger projects.
