The role
The Agile Delivery Lead is responsible for the coordination of product change for the aligned Squad; to ensure good standards and constant delivery is achieved in line with business expectations; including the removal of blockers and impediments, protecting the Squads planned deliveries. This will include:
Assisting the Head of Product in facilitating the delivery of product change.
Acting as a point of contact or conduit between each Squad instilling standards and best practices at a delivery level.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Management / Leadership
Own and drive agile delivery plans ensuring continuous communication with architecture, product, business and operational stakeholders having a clear understanding of business and stakeholder needs with delivery plans to support – aligned with the teams’ sprints and product priorities.
Have a clear understanding of the needs of your product manager and product owners needs to be able to build and push to completion.
Promote and lead the team assisting in the adoption of an agile delivery culture including delivery frameworks, governance, and best practise.
Ensure agile delivery ceremonies are conducted and effective; maintain a clear cadence.
Work with the Head of Product and IT leadership team to develop resource plans and strategies to meet the expected product delivery needs of business stakeholders in alignment with agile delivery plans.
Personal Development / Continuous Improvement
Actively manage the implementation of continual improvement initiatives which support underlying strategies and align with cross functional leadership to recommend learning and development plans across your squad.
Actively keep informed of new technology, agile delivery trends and frameworks, and how they can be adopted by ERS and IQUW Underwriting in delivering product change.
Attend organised events with a view to further the development team’s knowledge and capabilities.

Qualifications, Skills And Experience
Agile Delivery Management in a technology environment including the use of SCRUM and Kanban.
Knowledge and appreciation of Agile / DevOps delivery practises such as Product Backlogs (Epics, User Stories and Features), CICD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery), TDD - Test-driven development, ATDD - Acceptance Test Driven Development, Pair Programming, Automated Testing.
Knowledge and experience of using agile delivery toolsets such as Microsoft DevOps Azure
Previous experience of working in financial services would be beneficial.
Experience of working in an insurance environment; motor insurance specifically, would be advantageous.

You will operate in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. You will be working for a fun organisation, diversity-focused and dress-down culture based in the Holborn / Tottenham Court Road location. The role is on a hybrid model with non-negotiable in-office requirements, currently every Tuesday. You will work alongside 3 other senior engineers, and 2 project-based engineers reporting to the IT Manager. A bit of a unique opportunity here as you will be a ‘modern Windows engineer’ as our client is hosting 95% of their infrastructure in AWS. You will be involved in project work as well as dealing with 3rd line support tickets. There’s a separate 1st / 2nd line support team so you won’t have to tackle any of these tickets. You will be working with the infrastructure team that’s predominantly cloud-based. It’s a unique setup being a Windows/Microsoft environment inside the AWS ecosystem. Everything is glued together using Terraform so there’s great tooling at work here. Non-negotiable requirements - Must have 2/3: AWS – solid experience is an absolute must Okta & Okta Workflows Terraform Other key technologies you will be working on heavily: Windows Server (2016-22) admin skills.
