Location: London Victoria (hybrid model, minimum 3 days in office).
Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a Lease Accountant to join Nord Anglia Education, in the Finance team, offering a 6 month fixed-term contract.
We are looking for someone to gather, review and input contract data into OneStream Lease Solution (LS) - the lease accounting and management software application, as well as extracting data from LS to perform month-end journal entry processing, balance sheet reconciliations, rent forecasts and other reviews of financial data.
As needed, the Lease Accountant will work closely with Global Estate Manager to update and maintain the leased property portfolio in LS which requires handling and processing large volumes of information within tight deadlines.
The Role
We seek an individual to join as a Lease Accountant where your focus will be:
Timely communication of key issues and decisions with the Group Technical Reporting Manager and the Senior Group Technical Analyst.
Ensure complete and accurate reporting of lease accounting information
Implement established lease processes, controls and reconciliations for lease reporting and transaction flows
Support the onboarding of lease data for all new acquisitions and updates/ changes to existing leases
Provide technical support to regional teams on lease accounting (IFRS 16)
Problem solve/undertake additional project work
Validate inputs into lease software
Prepare monthly data for company journals
Reconcile financial data at Group level
Assist in preparation of lease disclosure notes for year-end audit responses
Assist with quarter-end reporting requirements
Ad hoc project work e.g. cleansing leasing data, rolling-out process improvements
The Successful Candidate Will Possess
ACA/ACCA qualified – newly qualified/1 yr PQE
Working knowledge of IFRS 16
Ability to manage and analyse data
Intermediate Excel skills including Pivot tables
Experience of preparing reconciliations
Practical approach to problem solving
