Job Title: Solution Architect
Location: Sunderland, UK

The role:
Create compelling proposals, present, and design deliverable solutions for clients.
Work with key stakeholders in confirming and negotiating solutions and presenting architectural options.
Create and present high- & low-level design documentation to technical authorities and design review committees.
Work closely with development teams, to communicate architectural designs ensuring accurate implementation.
Find the most viable solution to solve and deliver business requirements.
Evaluate new technologies and monitor trends within technology and software development.
Work with cross-functional teams, including Solution Architects, Tech Leads, and Delivery Managers, to shape and deliver innovative technology solutions for clients
Develop and maintain strong client relationships with key stakeholders at a senior level through to C-suite level. Managing client expectations and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
Work across a range of projects and support Apexon and client teams in delivering their respective work and milestones.
Support new business opportunities with clients and pre-sales activities.

You’ll have:
Proven experience acting as a Solution Architect, with a strong background in data solutions.
An understanding of the Cloud eco-system with ideally some relevant certifications, e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP
A strong technology background with experience in applications development or data platforms.
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Experience of creating total cost of ownership and managing their impact on project deliverables.
Experience of choosing and defining architecture standards and design patterns for solution development.
Experience of mentoring technical SMEs in solution architectures.
The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
The ability to manage and lead diverse teams and follow solution architecture methodologies.
Confidence in working with senior colleagues, up to and including C-level
A willingness to travel to other Apexon offices as well as client sites within the UK and potentially overseas, as required.

It would be great if you have:
Previous consultancy experience gained within a Financial Services, Professional Services, or Life Sciences environment.
Line management experience.
Relevant Cloud certifications.
Knowledge of architectural frameworks and concepts such as TOGAF, C4 model, etc.

This role is a hybrid role based in our Sunderland office; however it will involve occasional travel to visit our clients.
