Job Title: ServiceNow ITOM Consultant (Discovery & Service Mapping)
Location: Work from Home with Limited Travel (Travel to client site as needed, approximately 4-5 months)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow ITOM Consultant with expertise in Discovery and Service Mapping. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with ServiceNow's IT Operations Management (ITOM) suite, particularly in the areas of Discovery and Service Mapping. This role requires someone who is not afraid to dive into technical challenges and actively contribute to solving complex problems while maintaining clear and consistent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The consultant will primarily work remotely but may need to travel to client locations on a need-basis. The engagement is expected to last approximately 4-5 months for a signed piece of work, with potential for further opportunities depending on project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
ServiceNow ITOM Implementation: Lead and support the implementation of ServiceNow ITOM, specifically around Discovery and Service Mapping modules.
Discovery & Service Mapping Expertise: Utilize the Discovery and Service Mapping tools to map business services and infrastructure components, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data in ServiceNow.
Hands-On Technical Engagement: Actively engage in configuring and customizing the ServiceNow platform, particularly the Discovery and Service Mapping modules, to meet specific client needs.
Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with client teams to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that align with business objectives. Provide guidance to client teams on best practices and solutioning.
Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify and resolve technical issues related to Discovery and Service Mapping, ensuring smooth functionality and optimal performance.
Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain thorough documentation for configurations, processes, and implementations. Provide regular status updates and detailed reporting to the client.
Client Interaction: Provide regular communication with client stakeholders, offering clear and concise updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Required Skills & Experience:
ServiceNow ITOM Expertise: Proven experience with ServiceNow ITOM, especially in Discovery and Service Mapping.
Hands-On Technical Skills: Ability to dive into the technical aspects and perform tasks beyond configuration, including troubleshooting and advanced customizations.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Consulting Experience: Experience in a client-facing role with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues independently.
Self-Driven: Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines while working remotely.
Preferred Qualifications:
ServiceNow certifications (e.g., ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – ITOM).
Previous experience in a similar consulting role within the ITOM space.
Familiarity with other ServiceNow modules and integrations
