We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join our team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in designing and developing IT solutions within a retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of IT capabilities, methods, and technologies, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment of Business Ideas: Assist in evaluating business ideas, project scoping, feasibility analysis of system-based solutions, and providing rough order of magnitude estimates for alternative solution options.
Estimating: Contribute to the production and validation of project estimates and assess estimates from other portfolios and third parties.
Requirements Definition: Collaborate in investigating and cataloguing functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring they align with the Outline Design and agreed scope.
Designs: Produce high-level and detailed designs for new systems and changes of varying complexity. Ensure designs meet business requirements, align with strategy, and are cost-effective and deliverable.
Technical Design Authority: Oversee the Detailed Design, Build, and Test phases to ensure alignment with the High-Level Design and agreed quality assurance standards.
Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with business peers and IT teams, achieving a comprehensive understanding of significant developments within the portfolio.
Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends, supplier roadmaps, and best practices to ensure relevance in the field.
Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to knowledge sharing within the Solution Architecture community and participate in creating and maintaining design patterns, standards, and reusable design elements.
Key skills:
A broad understanding of IT capabilities, methods, and technologies.
Extensive experience in the design and development of IT solutions.
Proven ability to influence stakeholders on solution proposals.
Experience working in teams that include both onshore and offshore resources.
Strong background in retail organizations.
Expertise in relevant business processes, such as Finance and Supply Chain.
