Role Description
This is a contract remote role for a Financial Data Science Specialist. The Financial Data Science Specialist will be responsible for applying data science techniques to financial datasets, performing data analysis, and generating insights. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing large datasets, interpreting statistical results, developing predictive models, and providing data-driven recommendations.
Qualifications
Proficient in Data Science, Data Analytics, and Data Analysis
Strong Analytical Skills and expertise in Statistics
Experience with financial datasets and generating insights
Ability to develop predictive models and interpret results
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Experience working remotely and independently
Familiarity with financial markets and economic principles is a plus
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or related field

The Role Technical Ownership of Data Infrastructure: Take full responsibility for the end-to-end architecture, management and scalability of our data infrastructure. Strong background in data engineering, design of database structures, data warehousing concepts, data modelling, schema design, ETL and data transformation. Well-versed in GitHub, Python, SQL, Spark and DevOps practices and tools, including CI-CD pipelines. Experience in implementing and managing data governance, security and privacy standards in a cloud environment. Proven track record of building scalable data systems and optimising them for performance and cost-efficiency. THE ROLE As a Market Research Analyst, you will: Support the design and execution of research projects with an analytical component, such as segmentation and driver analysis.
