WWT EMEA UK currently has an opportunity available for a Consulting Systems Engineer to support our growing European Sales and Engineering team located in London UK.

This Technical Pre-Sales Engineer will support enterprise clients in the UK, Europe and global markets. Qualified candidates need to have, or be in the advanced stages of achieving a High-Level technical accreditation with one or a number of the key vendors that WWT are engaged with. Examples would be: Cisco, VMware, DellEMC, HPe, NetApp, Nvidia.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engaging effectively with the International Accounts field sales team in support of customer pursuits, to advance sales campaigns and build rapport with customer contacts
Be the technical principal with accounts and customers
Assist in developing Statements of Work and Bills of Materials
IT infrastructure design and architecture lead
Takes ownership for technical agenda with customer
Attend and lead customer business meetings with and without Account Executives
Recognise, support and assist in the scope and pricing of Professional Services work
Develop and maintain customer relationships
Present and hold technology conversations with senior members of the customer (CXO)
Serve as the technical liaison to not just our customers but also internally to WWT
Building strong relationships in the EMEA region with WWT’s key OEM partners to foster collaboration and field level engagement
Achieving and maintaining required technology certifications and competencies
Delivering Effective Customer & Partner Presentations
Providing Effective Engineering Support of Customer Initiatives
Leading and Presenting during Demand Generation Events
Demonstrate Solid Teamwork and Peer Collaboration
Ability to travel in and outside the UK

QUALIFICATIONS:

6-10 years of pre-sales, technical / customer experience
High Level Technical Accreditations with a major vendor
Proven track record of solutions selling and consulting.
Multi-threaded and broad technical experience / exposure
Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments, ideally at medium / large scale customer base
Experience of projects in at least one key market vertical, examples including Pharmaceuticals, Retail, Finance or Manufacturing
Demonstrable consultative technical “selling” skills - able to rapidly extract the customer’s business problems, that can then potentially be solved with technology-based solutions
Proven client presentation skills
Strong pre-sales technical skills, and some hands-on skills, in one or more of
Core and Edge networking
Datacentre infrastructure (CI, HCI, Compute, Storage)
Enterprise Security/ Cyber-Security
Virtualisation and Software defined Technology
Cloud Technologies or DevOps
IT / OT Environments
AI awareness
Experience with multiple OEMs
