Rockstar is seeking a talented and experienced Frontend Software Engineer to join the Creator Platform team. As a member of the team, you will work on our end user facing site and creator facing administrative interfaces. You have a great sense of design and understand and enjoy building the best possible user experiences in the frontend.

This is a full-time, permanent and in-office position based in Rockstar’s unique game development studio in the heart of London.

What We Do

We build FiveM and RedM, the technology platform that enables players to experience community created content on fully customized dedicated servers where creators can develop their own game modes and other modifications in a variety of scripting languages.
We create technology, tools, and solutions to enhance the creator experience and empower our community to create and share any experience imaginable.
We create online services to support all the features utilized by the FiveM and RedM platforms, including server discovery, player authentication, server management, content management and more.

Responsibilities

Develop UI/UX for our creator facing administrative interfaces.
Develop UI/UX for our player facing sites and interfaces
Design how interfaces will look, and how they’ll work, using existing and new components.
Develop a re-usable and best-practice React components libraries.
Implement and maintain automated tests.
Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and improvements for the modding platform.
Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, optimize code, and improve overall system stability.
Work closely with other engineers to integrate services seamlessly into the larger platform.
Collaborate with other Rockstar technology teams across our worldwide studios.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience working as a frontend engineer

Skills

Proficiency in React.js, TypeScript and JavaScript.
A sense for design and a drive to design and build the best possible experiences from users perspective.
Extensive knowledge of various web technologies such as Web APIs, HTML and CSS (SCSS), and modern frontend build tools such as Vite, Webpack, etc.
Knowledge of Agile software development processes.

PLUSES

Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.

Experience with backend development, especially C#.
Experience with game development, C++ and related tools such as Scaleform.
Experience in optimizing complex programs.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic/passionate about games and curious about how things work.
Passion for creating tools and working closely with your user base.
Knowledge of Rockstars’ game titles and passion for playing videogames.
Knowledge of the FiveM/RedM platform and passion for working with the modding community.
