We are looking for a Technical Architect to work in the front-end of our Remote Gaming Platform. Our RGP is an innovative platform that allows us to deliver world class games and provide a rich set of ecosystem capabilities for a richer gaming experience. Our platform is deployed in multiple jurisdictions and integrates with several operators, providing our content to millions of players across the globe.
Aristocrat Interactive is a product lead organisation, as a front-end Technical Architect, you will own the technical direction of a number of products and capabilities at Aristocrat Interactive. This requires working very closely with the Product Owners, other Architects, business and operations stakeholders in order to help the Development Teams bring to life the desired features and technical improvements.
As part of the Architecture team, you will also work with the rest of the Architects to help define the future state of our platforms alongside the technologies and technical processes that we will use. The Architecture team’s focus is helping the development teams, and ultimately the business, to deliver value to our customers quickly and efficiently.
Aristocrat Interactive systems are cloud native and highly distributed, with many of our environments running in the public cloud. We favour high CD/CI and QA automation and infrastructure as code.
What You'll Do
Ownership of the technical road map, long term vision and ultimately final solutions
Provide guidelines and support to ensure high quality solutions
Provide technical support and help with problem analysis and resolution
Help provide high level estimates
Collaborate with stakeholders to capture functional and non-functional requirements, regulatory, legal, security and compliance concerns
Perform technical comparison analysis versus competitor solutions
Mentor and support members of the team to develop their technical abilities
What We're Looking For
Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience, along with related technologies such as websockets, HTML and CSS
Experience with front-end frameworks such as React and Angular
Working knowledge of Python
Strong front-end security experience with browser features such as CORS and Content Security Policy headers
Experience with technologies for network routing and web servers such as Nginx and Envoy Proxy
Experience with on premise S3 object storage such as Minio, Zenko Cloudserver or similar
Good understanding of container technology and ideally Kubernetes
Ideally experience with Service Mesh technologies such as Istio and the how Istio uses the Envoy proxy to underpin the Service Mesh
Be able to apply critical thinking to identify and resolve critical live issues in a timely manner
API design and system integration (REST, RPC)
Continuous delivery and integration
Agile methodologies, e.g. Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc
Public cloud experience, ideally with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
